Bulong Estate is located in the Upper Yarra Valley, an area recognised as being one of the best in the Yarra Valley for the production of high quality cool climate grapes.

Since 1995 we have been growing grapes here and our family-owned and run Estate has been dedicated to making high quality wine since 2002.

Bulong Estate is now a destination in its own right. With spectacular views to the Yarra Ranges and Mount Donna Buang, the Winery, Cellar door and Restaurant is the perfect place to relax with quality food and wine.

Weddings and Functions
Bulong Estate is a fabulous place to celebrate your special occasion. We are suited to small to medium functions and we are more than happy for you to hold your Wedding ceremony in our garden with the vines and mountains as a backdrop free of charge.

Any occasion..
We can help you celebrate any special occasion, or business function, on weekends or during the week. You have exclusive use of our Restaurant and our chef will work with you to create a menu suitable to your occasion.

Australian Wine Companion 5 star winery.

James Halliday 5 stars and "A dark horse"
Congratulation to Matt and his team on achieving a 5 star Winery rating from James Halliday in his latest edition, 2012, of the Australian Wine Companion.

One of his "Ten dark horses"
Not only that but he lists us as one of his "Ten dark horses" on page 49 of his book. These are a very small group of wineries that have produced a particularly impressive series of wines for this edition.

To quote James Halliday..
"Matt Carter's winemaking has gained confidence as the vineyard has matured....Quality Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon is quite a quartet."

Autumn Menu is now being served.

Yoshi has outdone himself with a beautiful Autumn menu to tempt you. Try an entree of slightly warm venison leg carpaccio or a main of Spatch Cock, roast breast and braised leg with scottish apple cider sauce. Click here to see the Autumn menu.

Closed for a Winter Break

We will be closed for a well deserved break from Monday 18th June until Thursday 5th of July. Both the Cellar door and Restaurant will be closed during this period.
We apologise for any incovenience.
We will re-open on Friday July 6th.

 

Upcoming Event - Bastille Celebration!

We will again be celebrating the French National holiday of Bastille Day on the weekend of July 14th and 15th. Yoshi will be serving a specially created Bastille inspired menu on both the Saturday night of July 14th and for lunch on Sunday the 15th.
