Your Event

Being a small, independent winery means we are able to be flexible. We are here to help you design your day as you wish – host your wedding, birthday or other occasion. Every party or wedding we host is unique and different, and we celebrate that diversity. Your celebration should be truly reflective of you.

You are welcome to decorate yourself (DIY) or hire in some professionals. If you would like some local suppliers just ask and we can put you in touch.

Weddings

Perfect for small weddings of 10 to 120 people. Seated, cocktail, indoors or out.
Your ceremony can be held in the garden, on the outdoor stage or under the arbour.

The Venue

Bulong Estate provides a flexible venue for all types of events. We have a modern inside space which seats up to 60 guests comfortably. The dining area opens up onto our elevated deck where we can place bar stools and wine barrels for a great mingling space.  The large deck area is a great place for a band or DJ and dance floor. Your guests can enjoy canapes and drinks on the lush lawn surrounded by garden and vineyard. Or perhaps some lawn games or picnic rugs.

Speaking of outdoors… we have spectacular views over the vineyard and across the valley floor to the imposing Mount Donna Buang. A spectacular backdrop for your outdoor wedding ceremony. You are welcome to have your ceremony in the garden, using our outdoor stage or garden arbour.

The Estate Winery

The site of our Yarra Valley vineyard was chosen specifically for its combination of climate, aspect and soil – the three essentials for producing high quality fruit. The north-facing natural amphitheatre, shelters the vineyard from the prevailing westerly weather and contributes to long, mild autumns – ideal for the slow, even ripening required to produce grapes of elegant and complex flavour.

All our wines are made from grapes grown here on the property, which are hand picked then processed, bottled and aged here at our winery; they are true ‘single vineyard’ wines.

Live Music @ Bulong

Enjoy a wine tasting with some great live music on the outdoor stage this Summer. Some great local bands play on our outdoor stage while we open the bar serving not just our own excellent wine, but also cold beer and cider. Bring a picnic rug and a picnic, or see our live music page for details of food available on the day.
